Privacy Policy

Effective date: October 7, 2025
Last updated: June 12, 2026

1. Overview

Pocket Boss Pro (“Pocket Boss Pro”, “we”, “us”) is a mobile app that helps
tradespeople and small service businesses manage jobs, clients, estimates,
invoices, expenses, and related records. We care about your privacy and have
built the app to keep your information under your control. This policy explains
what information is involved when you use Pocket Boss Pro, how it is handled
today, and how we may handle it as the app grows. By using Pocket Boss Pro, you
agree to this policy.

2. Information involved when you use the app

Business content you create. Projects, tasks, clients, workers,
estimates, invoices, expenses, receipts, timesheets, mileage, photos, templates,
and similar records that you enter into the app. Today, this content is stored on
your device and in your own private iCloud (see Section 3), and is not collected
by us.

Technical and diagnostic information. Like most apps, Pocket
Boss Pro and the platforms it runs on (Apple iOS and iCloud) may generate limited
technical information such as app version, device model, operating-system
version, and crash or performance data. We may use such information, in
aggregated or de-identified form, to keep the app working and to improve it.

Information you choose to provide to us. If you contact us for
support or feedback, we receive the information you send us (such as your email
address and the contents of your message).

3. Where your data is stored

The business content you create in Pocket Boss Pro is stored:

  • On your device, in the app’s local database; and
  • In your own private iCloud account, using Apple’s CloudKit
private database, so your data stays in sync across your devices and is
included in your normal iCloud backup.

Your iCloud data is held in your personal Apple account and is governed by
Apple’s Privacy Policy. Because
it is stored in your private iCloud, we do not have access to that content today.
If you turn iCloud off, your data simply stays on your device. If we introduce
features in the future that rely on our own or third-party cloud services, we will
update this policy to describe them.

4. How we use information

To the extent we process any information, we use it to:

  • provide, operate, maintain, and secure the app;
  • diagnose problems, and improve and develop new features;
  • understand, in aggregate, how the app is used;
  • provide customer support and respond to your requests; and
  • comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.

We do not sell your personal business records.

5. Service providers

We may engage trusted third parties to help us run and improve Pocket Boss Pro,
such as cloud infrastructure, payment processing, analytics, customer support, or
communications providers. Where we do, those providers may process information on
our behalf and are expected to protect it and use it only for the services they
provide to us. We will update this policy as our use of such providers changes.

6. Analytics and advertising

Pocket Boss Pro does not currently include third-party advertising, and we do not
currently use your business records for advertising or sell them to advertisers.
If we introduce analytics, advertising, or marketing in the future, we will update
this policy and provide any notices or choices required by applicable law and the
App Store.

7. Aggregated and de-identified information

We may create aggregated or de-identified information that does not identify you
or your customers, and we may use and share that information for any lawful
business purpose, including analytics, research, benchmarking, and product
development.

8. When you choose to share something

You can export or send items yourself, for example emailing an invoice PDF,
saving a report or a QuickBooks CSV, or sharing a file. This happens through your
device’s standard system share options and only when you initiate it. Once a file
leaves the app, it is handled by whatever app or service you choose (Mail,
Messages, Files, and so on), under their terms.

9. Receipt scanning and on-device processing

When you scan a receipt, the image is processed on your device using Apple’s
built-in text-recognition technology, and the results are stored with your data.
We do not currently send your receipts to external services for processing. If we
add features that process your content using our own or third-party cloud or
artificial-intelligence services, we will describe them in this policy before or
when they become available.

10. Device permissions

The app asks for certain permissions only to power features you use. The
resulting data is stored with your other app data:

  • Camera – to scan receipts and attach photos to projects, tasks, and expenses.
  • Photo Library – to attach images to projects, tasks, clients, and expenses, and to save photos to your library.
  • Location – to record trip start and end points for mileage tracking, autofill addresses, and show jobs on a map. Background (“Always”) access is used for mileage tracking when you start a trip.
  • Contacts – to import details for a client or worker you select. Only the contact you choose is brought into the app.
  • Calendars – to add scheduled tasks and project deadlines to your calendar, if you choose.
  • Notifications – to remind you about tasks and deadlines.
  • Files / Documents – to import documents and project templates you select.

You can review or change these permissions at any time in your device Settings,
and the app continues to work with reduced functionality if you decline.

11. Weather

The dashboard may show current weather using Apple’s WeatherKit, based on your
device location. This request is made to Apple and governed by Apple’s privacy
terms. Weather data is provided by Apple Weather and other sources.

12. Subscriptions and payments

Pocket Boss Pro offers an optional paid subscription. Purchases are processed by
Apple through the App Store, which handles your payment information under its own
privacy policy. We do not receive or store your card or payment details; we are
informed only whether your subscription is active so the app can unlock paid
features.

13. Business transfers

As our business develops, we may buy or sell assets, or undergo a merger,
acquisition, financing, reorganization, or sale of all or part of our business. In
such transactions, information held by or for us may be transferred as part of the
deal, subject to this policy or any successor policy.

14. International users and legal bases

Pocket Boss Pro is available internationally, and your information may be stored
and processed in the country where you and the services we rely on (such as Apple)
operate. Where required, we rely on appropriate legal bases to process information,
including performance of our agreement with you, our legitimate interests in
operating and improving the app, your consent (where applicable), and compliance
with legal obligations. We aim to honor the rights provided under privacy laws
including the GDPR (EU/UK), CCPA/CPRA (California), PIPEDA (Canada), and LGPD
(Brazil).

15. Your rights and control

Because your business content is stored on your device and in your own iCloud, you
have direct control over it: you can view and edit it in the app, export it at any
time, and delete it. Deleting the app and removing its data from iCloud erases that
content. To exercise any privacy right with respect to information we may hold, or
to ask a question, contact us using the details below.

16. Children

Pocket Boss Pro is a business tool intended for adults. It is not directed to
children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

17. Security

We take reasonable measures to protect information, including the device security
and encryption provided by your device and the security of Apple’s iCloud when your
data is synced. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we
cannot guarantee absolute security.

18. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time to reflect changes to the app, our
practices, or the law. We will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where
required, provide additional notice or obtain your consent. Your continued use of
the app after an update means you accept the revised policy.

19. Contact us
